As a teacher, I know how unsettled some children can come back into the classroom in September and they find it hard to establish the day to day routine. Here are some great tips and advice I can give you to help ease your children in before then👩🏫

Here at MissBTuition we provide lots of different lessons suitable for all ages and abilities including..
🧩121 online tuition online or face to face: specialised lesson plans created by your tutor to suit your child’s needs, honest lesson feedback to parents via email or in person after every session, live marking and guidance and homework.
🧩KS1 Group Lessons: Face to face lessons in a group of no more than 6 pupils, individual lesson plans linked the the KS1 curriculum including phonics, honest parent feedback via email after each lesson and homework.
🧩KS2 Group Lessons: Face to face lessons in a group of no more than 6 pupils, individual lesson plans including sats content for those in years 5/6, honest parent feedback and homework.
🧩11+ Preparation: 121 Face to face or Online Lessons, individual lesson plans adapted to the 11+ curriculum, honest parent feedback and 11+ homework.
🧩11+ Mock Exams: Booked a couple of times throughout the academic year and separate to individual lessons. Exam conditions, papers marked and score given to parents with a forward going plan for learning.

Hundred Charts are a great resource that I use for starter activities and short game breaks at MissBTuition 🔢
They can be used to help children understand number orders, counting, times tables and much more..
I cut them up, laminate them and keep them in small individual learning pouches👩🏫

Here at MissBTuition, I follow a couple of different schemes for phonics, dependent on what scheme each child’s school uses..
I have experience using Read Write Inc and Little Wandle (Letters and Sounds).
Phonics is so important in the development of reading and writing from an early age📚
I adapt all Phonics lessons to the needs of the students and always complete an initial assessment to see where your child is at in the Phonics phases👩🏫
If you would like to sign your child up to phonics in their tutoring sessions, please provide as much information as possible on their current attainment from the school they are at. Although, please be aware that a child may assess differently from school to tuition lessons. This may be due to confidence🌻
