We were so pleased Voyager Band agreed to play at Thakeham Fun Day .

This was their FIRST EVER gig and we think they smashed it 🙌

Well.. WHAT. A. DAY.

I really do hope everyone had fun?

Thankyou all for attending Thakeham Fun Day taking part in our games, eating our food and drinking us dry within an hour (leading to an emergency stock up) - You have helped raise funds towards Thakeham Primary School 🙌

I would like to thank Richard King at Thakeham Community Events for his help has truly been priceless in making Fun Day as smooth and successful as it was. If you’re wanting to hold an event in Thakeham, get in touch with him!

BBQ Chief Mike Leech and our group of - For not leaving that bbq all afternoon and braving the heat, feeding over 300 people!

Everyone at Rotary Club of Storrington and Pulborough District, those marquees don’t erect and dismantle themselves!

For all the volunteers who gave their time to help yesterday, Thakeham thanks you.

To Lucy and Richard at Bearded Hero - Plant & Tool Hire & Service for lending me use of their flatbed for the day, it really wouldn’t have been ready in time without it. I can also personally recommend their services.

To my friend, Matt Harder from Bluebell Bushcraft for being on site as first aider for the afternoon. A heart of gold and the kindest man I know.

Keller Williams Martin Lundy-Lester for sponsoring our games stalls, did you notice the welly throwing marker was his sign!?

To Carters Domestic Appliances for bringing the Scalextric - I think quite a few F1 drivers were created yesterday 🏎️ 💨

To SADCASE, Classic and Sportscar Club for attending. The vehicles on show were truly remarkable.

To all the stall holders, thankyou for being part of the day and making the event what it was. I loved the array of different businesses and charities and the joy of everyone looking through your stalls.

A special thanks to all at Blush Hair Boutique, for giving me time between clients, bouncing ideas around the salon and supporting me for the last 6 months while i organised Fun Day. For making everyone look extra special yesterday with hair glitter and braids and overall sponsorship of the event.

To the Friends of Thakeham Primary School committee, full of yes people and Jen Cooper Oliver who has supported my ideas and helped fundraise for the school.

This Sunday expect a crowd full of cheers, laughs and Awwwws 🥹

£2 entry gets you into every category and prizes are up for grabs.

Judging will solely be done by the crowd so wear your best attire and bring a hound 🐕

Great turn out today… 65 bags of FREE popcorn in 20 minutes..
There were a lot of happy faces and was a great trial on how to get perfect popcorn ready for Thakeham Fun Day

Thankyou to everyone who signed up to volunteer on the day, we still have a few spaces left to fill - Mainly the last hour of our game stalls.
