As part of their Science topic ‘Ocean Protectors’, the children in Y1/2 have been learning all about the amazing creatures and plants that can be found in rock pools. They discovered fascinating facts about coastal creatures such as starfish, sea anemones and hermit crabs while exploring how they can help protect them when they visit the beach. 🦀

The children have used their creativity and scientific knowledge to design and create their own rock pools, thinking carefully about the habitats these creatures need to survive. They have also learnt how important it is to observe rock pool life gently, keep creatures safe, and leave their seaside homes just as we found them. 🐚🌊

Year 4/5 Spotlight 🔦✨️

This week in art, Year 4/5 have been developing their shading skills to create 3D effects.

The lesson was only meant to be a practice activity, but we think the results speak for themselves… we may have discovered some budding artists and created some absolute masterpieces! 🖌️👏

Well done Year 4/5, your artwork looks amazing and we can't wait to see what you are creating at the end of the topic! 🎨

New Life PLUS in Cannock are advertising free school uniform - up to 20 items per person whilst stocks last. It even looks like there may be some of our fabulous St Peter's purple dresses.

Our 'Grown ups' book swap is now up and running in the entrance to school.

Anybody is welcome to take a book to read - whether you are donating or not.

If you have books you have finished with they would be gratefully receieved for the next adult to enjoy 😊📚

We hope the Summer Reading Challenge is going well for those wanting to complete it! 📚☀️

If you are stuck for something to do, local libraries (including Shenstone and Lichfield) have lots going on and you can take out some new books for your challenge at the same time.
