On Wednesday 10th June, our wonderful Manorfield Voices had the incredible opportunity to perform at De Montfort Hall alongside other primary schools ๐๐ถ
Singing as part of a much larger choir, the pupils performed a selection of summer-themed songs to a packed auditorium. They stood with real professionalism and sang with confidence, enthusiasm and joy, their performance was an absolute pleasure to watch.
We are extremely proud of every single member of the choir. Experiences like this play such an important role in building confidence, self-esteem and teamwork, and it was clear just how much the children gained from being part of this special event.
โญ Well done Manorfield Voices, you are all stars! โญ

๐๐ We had a wonderful World Earth Day on Friday 8th May. We chose to hold our celebration on this date so that it coincided with Sir David Attenboroughโs 100th birthday, as a way of honouring the incredible work he has done to care for our Earth and its wildlife ๐
The children took part in a range of fabulous earth-loving activities, including litter picking, planting, and creative art and craft activities, all designed to celebrate and protect our planet. They also made birthday cards for Sir David Attenborough, which are now winging their way to him!
This special day linked beautifully with our school vision of caring, sharing and inspiring, and it was wonderful to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic. A huge thank you to Mrs K Jones for organising and coordinating such a meaningful and successful event ๐

We had a fantastic time celebrating this year! ๐โจ
Instead of dressing as book characters, pupils came to school dressed as an exciting word. We saw everything from precipitation and archaic to camouflaged and incognito - the imagination on display was incredible! ๐๐ฅ
A huge well done to all of our pupils, staff and families for making World Book Day such a magical celebration of reading ๐๐
