The children have continued to enjoy listening and acting out the story of "Jack and the Beanstalk." 📖🎭

The children have enjoyed outside play, digging and searching for bugs, building obstacle courses, riding on the bikes and scooters, and practicing ball control (catching and throwing). 🌳🚲⚽

To celebrate David Attenborough's 100th Birthday, the children enjoyed imaginary play with dinosaurs and natural materials. 🦖🌿🎂

They practiced their mark making skills using felt tip pens on the large easel. 🖍️🎨

Saturday (Tomorrow)

Maps will be on sale on the day from the junior school, where the trail starts.
£3 for the first map and then £1 for each other family member.

Raffle tickets, bunny ears, and "name the bunny" will also be happening at the junior school.

We are so excited to see you all there!

This week in the nursery, we have been celebrating Easter with lots of different activities to support their learning. This includes making Easter cards, enjoying the story of "Going on an Egg Hunt," singing new nursery rhymes, having an egg hunt in the garden, and learning about baby animals.

Thank you all for attending the Spring and Sparkle afternoons, it was a huge success enjoyed by us all.

This week in the nursery, we have been learning about people who help us. In the role-play area, we made a hospital, a police station, and a fire station. The play supported children in learning new language, sharing resources, and working together as a team.

The children have enjoyed a number of adult led, tabletop, turn taking activities. They were able to listen to simple instructions and wait their turns.

The children have enjoyed a number of messy play activities including couscous with different sized pots and pans, mud play with vehicles, making marks in the colored sand, and painting our Mother's Day cards.

The children have enjoyed the lovely weather this week outside, searching the garden for worms and snails, and practicing their gross motor skills on bikes, scooters, and tractors, kicking and catching balls.

We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday. The children dressed up in costumes or wore their pajamas. We all had a wonderful day and read lots of stories.

This week in the nursery, we have been enjoying the lovely spring weather outside. Using the pots and pans, the children made their own musical instruments and enjoyed listening to the different sounds they could make.

Using chalks, the children used their gross motor skills to make different marks on the ground and draw around each other. They played on the bikes, scooters, hoops, and with balls.

Using the large bricks, children worked together and talked about their ideas to make amazing constructions.

Our story for this week is "The Colour Monster." The children have helped to make a wonderful monster for our wall display, and we have been talking about our different emotions.
