Another brilliant taster day for our Year 10 students at Cirencester College! 🎓

Students had the chance to step into college life, explore different courses and take part in activities designed to give them a taste of the opportunities available beyond secondary school.

Maidenhill made its first appearance at the Warhammer Alliance Schools Tournament at Warhammer World in Nottingham! 🎲

Students represented the school in a day of battles and creativity, competing in the tournament and taking part in the painting competition.

Rory King secured a 73-19 victory in his opening match, Alfie Beard picked up his first tournament win, and both Ed Dumbrill and Harry Poole put in strong performances in their matches.

Something a little different… ✨

Congratulations to Science teacher Mr Copping, who recently attended a special celebration at Buckingham Palace to mark 70 years of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award!

Outside the lab, Mr Copping leads our DofE programme and has given up countless hours to support our students over the years. It was lovely to see his commitment recognised.

Lots of walking, warm weather and plenty of teamwork… our Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh students took it all in their stride!

Mr Sansom and Mr Scott recently took our Year 11 Student Leaders and Year 10 Assistant Student Leaders on a visit to the Houses of Parliament.

After a guided tour of the historic building, students took part in a workshop where they created and presented their own parliamentary petitions. It was great to see the range of ideas they came up with.

We’d like to thank all our Student Leaders for everything they’ve done for the school this year. They’ve been fantastic ambassadors for Maidenhill, and we’re incredibly proud of them all. ❤️

On Friday, we welcomed Year 6 students for Discovery Day. They were greeted by subject teachers, learning support assistants and our newly appointed student leaders.

We had a lot of fun together, learning a range of different subjects through interactive lessons. There were plenty of smiles throughout the day!

We look forward to welcoming you to the Maidenhill family in September ❤️
