At Glenbervie Preschool we work together to provide a safe, secure, welcoming, and happy environment where children aged two to five years have fun learning, growing and exploring. With qualified and experienced staff, we can offer children a great, fun atmosphere to learn and make friends. All staff regularly attend in-service training provided by Aberdeenshire Council and various other training

as required. Our Playgroup follows the guidelines published by the Scottish Office in “Curriculum for Excellence". We are regularly and thoroughly inspected by HMIE (Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education), SCSWIS formally the Care Commission and Aberdeenshire Council’s Education Department. The group is a registered charity and relies on parental involvement and fundraising.

Our Story

Glenbervie Pre-School is held in Drumlithie Village Hall. The group is a member of Early Years Scotland and is registered and inspected by the Care Inspectorate and Education Scotland (HMiE)

We are partner providers for Aberdeenshire council which means your child can receive a funded pre-school education place from the term after their 3rd birthday or if eligible can access funding from 2 years old. We have strong links with Glenbervie Primary and continue to work with them to improve the transition period for children going into Primary one. You can be confident that while your child is attending Glenbervie Pre-School they are not just playing but learning using the Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) and Building the Ambition frameworks to become Responsible Citizens, Confident Individuals, Effective Contributors and Successful learners.
