Stonehaven Maths and Physics Tuition

I realised I've not posted here for a while because I've been so busy!

I'm currently full up after school for maths and physics tuition and have a waiting list.

I do have some limited availability during the school day for pupils in s5 and s6 to attend during free periods.

For info, my sessions are 50 minutes long, can be weekly or every 2 weeks and current price Sep 2025 is £37

About me:
I'm friendly and approachable and my tuition is aimed at boosting confidence in lessons and encouraging further practice at home.
I've been tutoring Maths and Physics since 2022.
I have a Physics degree from Oxford University, a PhD from Nottingham University and previously had a career as a Scientist in Medical Physics and Clinical Trials for 15 years.

How does tutoring work?
I offer regular or one off 50-min tutoring sessions at my home. I will chat with both student and parent about what you'd like to get from your tutoring and give you regular updates.
My qualifications:
I'm an experienced tutor of maths, physics and related subjects at secondary level.
I have a Physics degree from Oxford University and have 15 years experience working in Science within the NHS and Universities.
How much does it cost?
£35 a session
What subjects do I tutor?
Maths, Physics, Applications of Maths, and Maths of Mechanics.
What level do I tutor?
I take pupils from S1 to S6 covering the broad general education of S1-S3 and through Nat5, Higher and Advanced Higher.

Give your child a boost before they return to school.

During the summer holidays I’m offering maths booster tutoring sessions in Stonehaven for secondary school pupils from S1 to S6.

With a bit of individual time spent one on one, outside of the school environment, young people can really improve their confidence in maths. When they return after the summer they’ll then be able to get more out of school because they are less scared of maths.

How does tutoring work?
I offer regular or one off 50-min tutoring sessions at my home in Stonehaven. I’ll chat with both student and parent about what you'd like to get from your tutoring and give you regular updates.

My qualifications:
I have a Physics degree from Oxford University. I've worked in Science for 15 years

£30 a session (1st lesson £20). Pay as you go.
