Having the opportunity to take part in Mark Making activities is crucial for children to learn to write. At Manor Hill we don’t rush the children and provide lots of different activities to support them including playdough, threading, ribbons and digging to build up the muscles that they will need to control mark making tools.
Each term we invite the children to draw a picture of a person, this shows how, given the right support and opportunities, they progress in their writing journey
