Blessed William Howard students are again celebrating excellent Aโ€“level results.

23% of all grades awarded were an A* or A.

Results in vocational subjects have also been extremely pleasing, with all students achieving the highest grades of Distinction* or Distinction.

We are also proud to report that over three quarters of Blessed William Howard students have secured a university place or an apprenticeship, this figure is significantly higher than the national average, further testament to the high aspirations and hard work of our students.
Mr. Karl Brown, Principal, said:
"Blessed William Howard students have once again achieved remarkable success, securing places at leading universities through their high aspirations, resilience and dedication. Students, parents and teachers should be very proud of these excellent, well-deserved grades. I extend my warmest congratulations to all students for their individual achievements, and my deepest thanks to the staff whose commitment, guidance and hard work have enabled our students to flourish and fulfil their potential."

We are particularly proud of student achievement across the following subjects: English Language and Literature, Religious Studies, History, Physics, and Vocational Sport and Physical Activity.

We continue to offer all our students the opportunity to complete the Extended Project Qualification to further support the development of study and research skills. We are delighted that most students achieved A* - B grades.

Some of the top performers include:

๐ŸŒŸ Feast of Our Patron Saint โ€“ St Dominic ๐ŸŒŸ

This Saturday we celebrate the Feast of St Dominic de Guzmรกn, the patron saint of our parish and founder of the Dominican Order.

More than 800 years ago, St Dominic dedicated his life to preaching the Gospel, defending the truth of the Catholic faith and leading souls to Christ through prayer, study and charity. His legacy continues to inspire the Church throughout the world today.

Here in Stone, this feast has a special significance. Our parish has a rich Dominican heritage, while our local Catholic community owes much to Blessed Dominic Barberi, who lived at nearby Aston Hall and established the Catholic mission in Stone.

Together, these two great servants of God remind us that the faith we enjoy today has been handed on through generations of courageous witness, sacrifice and faithful service.

As we celebrate our patron saint, let us give thanks for our parish, pray for all who worship here, and ask for the intercession of St Dominic that we may continue to grow in faith, hope and charity.

Join us this Saturday:
๐Ÿ™ 10:00am โ€“ Holy Mass
๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ 10:30am โ€“ Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for Peace
โœ๏ธ 5:00pm โ€“ Vigil Mass

Whether you're a lifelong Catholic, returning to the Church, or simply curious to learn more about the faith, you will receive a very warm welcome.

St Dominic de Guzmรกn, pray for us.
Blessed Dominic Barberi, pray for us. ๐Ÿ™

๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŽจ What a plantastic day! ๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŒฟ

Year 2 had a fantastic visit to the Wolseley Centre, where they became nature artists for the day! Inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy, the children created beautiful natural sculptures, sketched the wonderful surroundings and used clay to make magical forest spirits on the tree trunks in Badger Wood.

The children showed incredible creativity, enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the day. We were so proud of their excellent behaviour โ€“ they were a credit to our school and represented St Dominicโ€™s beautifully.

Well done, Year 2! ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒณโœจ
