☀️I know it still feels like summer is only just beginning, but September places for tuition always fill so much sooner than people expect!

From September, I will be running a small GCSE Maths Confidence Group at Stone Library on Thursdays, 4–5pm.

This will be for Year 9, 10 and 11 students who would benefit from calm, focused support with GCSE-style maths, confidence, key topics and exam technique.

The group will be kept very small — maximum 4 students — so each student can get proper support, ask questions, and work through things at a steady pace.

I’m a qualified teacher, experienced maths tutor and SEN education professional with over 20 years’ experience, and my approach is gentle, intuitive, encouraging and step-by-step.

£180 per 6-week block

I get lots of requests for tuition in the after school time slot and unfortunately I just can't fit everyone in!!
In response to this I'll be starting an online GCSE booster session targeting Higher Maths (Grade 7+) next half term, every Thursday at 4pm.

I have 20 years experience teaching learners with many different needs and learning styles, both in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis.

Tuition requires patience and adaptability and I really believe in a supportive and confidence boosting approach. I have QTS, DBS, BSc Maths & Psychology and PGCE in Secondary Maths.

Sessions will be £20 each, live on zoom for 50mins, and will be small groups only. Any worksheets will be emailed out beforehand.

The first topics will be:-

☑️ Surds and harder indices
☑️ Solving quadratics
☑️Trigonometry and further trig
☑️Simultaneous equations, linear and non-linear
☑️Coordinate geometry ( y=mx+c )
