Congratulations Daisy!

We are really proud to announce another IDEA Award success at CCA! Daisy in Year 8 today completed her Bronze IDEA Award Certificate in Computing. This a tremendous achievement and shows Daisy's dedication to her academic progress.

✨ What a day. What an atmosphere. What a community. ✨

Stone Rocks 2026 was everything we hoped for and more. As we celebrated our 10th anniversary, we were reminded just how special our CCA family is.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the day possible – those who volunteered their time, ran stalls, performed on stage, played an instrument, danced, sang, supported behind the scenes, and simply came along to enjoy the day. Every single person played a part in making Stone Rocks such a success.

Events like this don't happen without the incredible support of our community, and we are so grateful to each and every one of you.

I think it's safe to say we celebrated our 10th anniversary in true CCA style... go big or go home! 🎉🎶❤️

🎶 Our Music Department has been incredibly busy this term!

Last week, our KS3 Orchestra visited Victoria Hall to watch the Halle Orchestra perform. Pupils experienced the thrill of hearing a world-class orchestra LIVE, and to make it even more exciting, the performance was World Cup-themed! ⚽🎻

Meanwhile, our Choir took to the stage at the County Showground for the Summer Singalong, representing our school beautifully and making us all proud. 🌟🎤

Well done to all of our talented musicians for their enthusiasm, dedication and outstanding performances! 🎶👏

We were delighted to welcome Ian from Kuotos Swim to our Key Stage 3 Assembly today to deliver an important message to Years 7 & 8 about water safety which is especially relevant given the current hot conditions. The pupils were a credit to CCA and listened respectfully as he shared the statistics on recent open water accidents and the message “Float to Live”. Hopefully they will have learnt some valuable lessons that could save their or someone else’s lives. We will be sharing this message with KS2 on Wednesday too. You may want to talk to your children about the points raised in this assembly.

🤖✨ Careers Week at Christ Church First School ✨🤖

As part of , Mr Coulson took a group of our Year 7 and 8 pupils to support the early years classes with a robotics workshop. We were also delighted to welcome Tim Chapman, our STEM Ambassador from FSP, who spoke about his career as an ethical hacker and the importance of STEM opportunities.

Our pupils were fantastic mentors to Reception and Year 1 children, helping them solve Bee-Bot challenges involving shapes, letters and LEGO tower tasks. It was wonderful to see them demonstrating patience, kindness and leadership while inspiring younger learners.

A huge thank you to all the staff and pupils at Christ Church First School for hosting us, and well done to our Key Stage 3 pupils for being such positive role models throughout the day. 👏

On Friday we had our CCA’s Got Talent show and WOW... we have some seriously talented pupils! 🌟👏

A huge thank you to everyone who took part. It takes real courage to perform in front of your peers, and every single act should be incredibly proud of themselves. ❤️

Our three finalists have now been decided and verified, and they’ll be taking to the main stage at Stone Rocks this weekend! 🎤🎶

As if the line-up wasn’t already incredible, keep an eye out for Eula, Donald Trump, and the three dancing sharks... 🦈🦈🦈😂

Last week, we were delighted to welcome our Year 4 pupils for a series of taster afternoon sessions, where they took part in exciting STEM activities! 🚀

Mr Coulson welcomed pupils into the Computing Department, where they used Scratch-style coding blocks to create their very own Star Wars game and earned a Coding Certificate for their efforts. 💻⭐

Meanwhile, in the Cooking Department, Mrs Henshaw had pupils busy making delicious pizza wraps! 🍕👩‍🍳

What a fantastic few days they all had here at CCA. We look forward to welcoming you back on the 29th and 30th for your Transition Days! 😊
