Springfields First School Village school, based in Yarnfield, Staffordshire, catering to ages 3 to 9 years old. We believe that learning should be fun, purposeful and challenging.

. We aim to develop confident learners, who take ownership of their learning and are proud of their achievements. We offer additional facilities alongside the school day, including an Care Club providing wrap around care from 7.30am to 6pm, and a pre-school catering for children from 3 years old. Who can attend HAF?
The programme is available for:
-Children aged 5 - 16 who receive benefit related free school meals
-Children referred through professional services
For further support please contact your local Family Hub.
15% of HAF attendance can also be allocated to children that are not eligible for benefit related Free School Meals.
Eligibility Criteria:
-Looked after or previously looked after child
-Young carer
-Child in receipt of statutory support from a Social Worker / Early Help Worker
-Child in need (supported by early help organisations)
-Low school attendance or at risk of exclusion
-Sibling of a child attending a HAF club with an eligibility code
-Eligible for FSM in another county, living in Staffordshire

📣 Springfields First School are looking to co-opt two new Governors to the Governing Board. The Governing Board supports the school strategically through ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction, holding it to account for educational performance and overseeing the financial performance, ensuring money is well spent.
As a governor you can expect to attend at least two meetings per term and would need to read all the documents relating to the meeting. You would also be expected to visit the school to undertake "link visits" (1 visit per year) where you look into a particular aspect of the school, for example a particular subject area.
We are particularly interested in finding somebody with experience in finance or governance who is not currently a parent of a child at the school, but will consider all applicants. 📣
