Our year 8 students are currently learning CPR. We have 10 volunteers from the medical sector who have given up their time today to work with young people on this live saving skill. Please ask them about what they learnt when they get home!

We had a fabulous turn out for House Sports last night, with over 45 students staying behind after school to play! There was a fabulous atmosphere, with students demonstrating great sportsmanship and simply having lots of fun!

Stokesley community you are INCREDIBLE! We asked for books for Ukraine, and my goodness, you gave us books! We have over 1000 books ready to hand over to the charity. Here are just some of them piled up by students and ready to go! Thank you to everyone who spread the word, donated books, or has helped to organise them in school!

On Friday we welcomed Rebecca from The Children's Literacy Charity into school to help start a very special programme called Reader Leader. Fifteen of our sixth form students have volunteered to be Reader Leaders, and they have each been paired up with a Year 7 student. The sixth formers received 4 hours worth of training from Rebecca, which covered topics such as why reading is important, how to engage students in reading and discussing books, phonics knowledge and dyslexia. They then met their Year 7 partners, who demonstrated their brilliant reading! The whole day was fantastic, and we can't wait to see how the Reader Leader programme develops as each pair will be meeting every week to read together.

Restart a Heart Day is almost upon us! We're looking forward to welcoming the Yorkshire Ambulance Service team back into school to share their life saving skills with our students.
The more people who know what to do in a cardiac arrest emergency, the more lifesavers there are across Yorkshire.
