This week, our Year 5 pupils successfully completed their First Aid training after 10 weeks of dedication and hard work.

To celebrate the end of the course, the children worked in groups to complete a range of realistic first aid scenarios, demonstrating the valuable skills they have learned throughout the programme. These included performing CPR, treating burns, and helping someone who is choking using a choking vest.

The children approached each scenario with confidence, maturity, and care, carrying out the correct procedures accurately and showing that they would respond calmly and effectively in a real-life emergency.

We are incredibly proud of the commitment and enthusiasm Year 5 have shown over the past 10 weeks. They should be extremely proud of everything they have achieved.

Well done Year 5 and huge thank you to Mini First Aid North Staffordshire for running this course!

EYFS and KS1 Sports Day went tremendously.

The children skilfully ran through the obstacle race, concentrated well in the class โ€˜egg and spoonโ€™ race and went full power in the sprints to finish. Many of the races were close finishes too!

Every single child should be very proud of themselves for all their efforts in competing and also in their supporting too. It was wonderful to see, so a huge well done to everyone! ๐Ÿ˜

Thank you also goes to the spectators for all their constant cheers and support and also for their efforts in their own races. ๐Ÿ˜

We now look forward to KS2 Sports Day on Friday! ๐Ÿคฉ

Year 2 have been having fun outside this afternoon creating artwork that is inspired by Andy Goldsworthy.

Andy Goldsworthy is best known for his land art and use of nature, so the children searched around the school for items they could use.

With sticks, leaves, rocks and many more natural items, they constructed their wonderful creations! ๐Ÿƒ

Class 4 conducted an experiment today to find out which material insulates sound the best. They made their own earmuffs, filled with different materials, to test which material would block out the most sound. ๐ŸŽง

Well done and a big thank you to Oscar and Betsy (and Mrs Bowyer!) who represented our school at Friday's Diocesan Leadership Conference at the Coventry Arena. They were up with the birds for a coach trip in readiness to perform with the St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi-Academy Trust choir! They sounded beautiful as they serenaded an enthralled audience!

For 3 weeks our Reception children have been watching the fascinating process of caterpillars turning into butterflies! ๐Ÿฆ‹

The children have helped nurture them, and saw each stage of the caterpillars life, before watching it hatch from a chrysalis and transform to a beautiful butterfly.

Today, we released the butterflies into the wild on our school field and the children said their goodbyes!โœจ๐Ÿฆ‹
