Alsager School is celebrating another year of fantastic A level and BTEC results, with Alsager Sixth Form College students’ hard work, determination and ambition reflected in an impressive range of achievements and exciting next steps.
There were lots of happy faces at school this morning as students opened their results and celebrated with friends, families and staff. A record number have secured university places, while others have chosen high-quality apprenticeship routes, demonstrating the breadth of opportunities available to this year’s leavers.
Three students are heading off to study medicine, while psychology and criminology are among this year’s most popular degree choices. Students have also secured places on a diverse range of courses, including interior architecture, digital media and fashion-related degrees.
Popular university destinations include Keele University and the University of Chester. A large group of Alsager alumni will be reunited in Leeds, while three students will begin the next stage of their education at Durham University.
Other students have secured prestigious apprenticeships with Deloitte, AstraZeneca and BAE Systems, giving them the opportunity to combine professional experience with further study and training.
Among the many individual successes, five students achieved A* grades in every one of their subjects - a phenomenal accomplishment and a testament to their sustained commitment throughout Sixth Form.
Andy Rayner, Director of Sixth Form, said:
“We are incredibly proud of every one of our students. Today’s results reflect not only their academic ability, but also the resilience, ambition and determination they have shown throughout their time with us. It is wonderful to see so many young people progressing to an exceptional range of universities, degree courses and apprenticeships. Every destination represents a personal success story, and we wish the entire Class of 2026 every happiness and success for the future.”
Andrea O’Neill, Headteacher, said:
“I would like to thank all our parents and carers for the invaluable support they have given our young people throughout their studies. I am also immensely grateful to our amazing staff for their continued commitment, care and dedication in supporting every student to fulfil their potential. These achievements are a wonderful reflection of the strength of our whole school community.”

Today was our Tanzanian travellers’ last day of project work at their first camp!👷♂️
After three intense days of plastering, sanding, painting, concrete mixing and levelling, the team will be grateful for a few cultural and rest days before moving to their second camp🏕️ 🦁
We have been so impressed with the work ethic of our students, which has been made easier with the constant reminders of the reason for their efforts toddling and weaving around them as they work!
