Lovely morning session at Audley Community Library this morning.
Delightful children who produced some fab pieces of writing. Thanks also to Gracie-mae Martin for your assistance 😊

We talked about what we might see, taste, hear, touch and smell at the seaside (hence the suncream and sensory box with sand, drift wood and shells etc.)

While writing we listened to a video of beach sounds for inspiration

Had a really lovely and uplifting evening at The Cafe Fenton (beautiful venue) last night with Lisa Clowes and Sally Beardmore.

Darren Howie aka privy poet/gallus patter was doing his book launch and signings and also performing some very powerful poetry. I particularly loved, 'The corner'.

Supported by the wonderful John Kerr - what a voice!

Audley Community Library have received a cheque from The Titanic Brewery this morning.

This will help to fund the befriending activity workshops which will be running over the summer holidays.

I recently enjoyed some time in the beautiful Longton Park. I had forgotten what a fabulous place it is, you can easily forget you are in the potteries! Especially lovely at the moment whilst many of the trees have blossom on them - so pretty. Can thoroughly recommend if you are in the area. It was so calming listening to all of the birds, watching the squirrels and even the busy ants - glorious creation ❤️

I even got an oatcake from the takeaway hatch of the Aynsley tea room which apparently is run by Strathmore specialist college, service with a smile 😊

Had a lovely evening at Audley Community Library meeting the author Mary Mae Lewis. Even better that I won the raffle - lucky me! 😁

I went to the conference yesterday at the bet365 stadium. It was very motivating and encouraging and some great conversations and ideas were shared. Thanks to those who organised the event - the gorgeous chips were an unexpected bonus!
