A huge thank you to all of our wonderful Dads and Grandads who joined us this afternoon to celebrate Father's Day!

The children loved spending special time with you, sharing activities, making memories, and showing off their nursery environment. It was lovely to see so many smiles and special moments throughout the afternoon.

🍩💙 Dads & Donuts Stay & Play 💙🍩

What a fantastic afternoon we had celebrating Father’s Day with our Dads & Donuts Stay & Play session!

The children loved spending quality time with their dads, grandads, and father figures, enjoying tasty donuts, fun activities, and making special memories together. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the afternoon so enjoyable🥰

🐝 Bee Playdough Fun 🐝

The children enjoyed exploring bee-themed playdough activities, using different tools and resources to create bees, hives, and patterns. 💛🐝

This hands-on activity supported fine motor development, creativity, and imaginative play while encouraging lots of lovely conversations and learning about bees.

🐝 Making Bee Hives 🐝

The children created their own bee hives using balloons and paper mâché. 🍯🐝

This fun activity supported creativity, fine motor skills, and communication and language as the children shared ideas and talked about the process together.

🐝 Bee Sensory Bin, Construction & Maths 🐝

The children explored our bee-themed sensory bin, construction area, and maths table through hands-on play and discovery. 🌼

They enjoyed building, counting, sorting, scooping, and working together while developing early maths, communication, and problem-solving skills. 💛🐝

🐝 Bee Life Cycle 🐝

The children have been learning all about the life cycle of a bee and exploring how bees grow and change. 🐝🌼

They enjoyed discussing each stage and learning why bees are so important to our environment.

🐝 All Things Bees – Honey & Loose Parts 🐝

The children explored honey through sensory play, discussing the texture, smell, and where it comes from. 🍯

They also enjoyed loose parts play, using a variety of resources to create their own bee-inspired ideas while developing creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills. 💛

Today was a special day at nursery — the day we set our butterflies free 🦋✨

After watching them grow and change from tiny caterpillars into beautiful butterflies, the children were so excited to see the final stage of their life cycle and help release them into the world.

It’s been such a lovely hands-on learning experience, teaching the children about patience, care, and the wonders of nature 🌿💛

What a magical moment to share together — goodbye butterflies, and thank you for the memories! 🦋🌸
