Not bad for 54 years old. Impressive for less than 3 months. Actually insane that there’s only 4lbs difference but Harpreet looks both bigger and leaner.

Harpreet asked me what was attainable at his age, he was skeptical when I told him, then it actually came into fruition. This is the result of following the plan 🤝

How much fat is necessary to gain as a natural bodybuilder?

As much that’s needed to gain as much muscle as possible.

Gaining whilst shredded naturally is unrealistic, but it also doesn’t excuse piling on body fat via chasing scale weight.

It’s hard to gauge progress as a natural bodybuilder, which is why the scale weight often mistaken as an absolute for progress.

Remember
- You can only gain so much muscle, anything past that is going to likely be body fat

- If performance is consistently climbing ( via form, reps and/or load) despite weight barely budging. You’re likely to be growing

- Holding weight doesn’t mean you’re not growing but it can mean you can gain for longer in comparison to piling on weight

- If you were to gain 0.5lbs a week over a year, you’ll put on 21lbs. Most of that still is likely to not be muscle. 21lbs of muscle in a year is very ambitious for an assisted competitor.

Lucas has smashed this, he’s still feeling fit and healthy. Training like a beast and recovering hard which is yielding substantial progress, but not to the extent where we have to diet the earned muscle off to get lean due to gaining excessive body fat.

Callum’s classic transformation

This IS bodybuilding: Adding tissue to the right places and posing your physique to represent your ideal look.

With time, you can craft and mould your body into something way beyond potentially what you thought was initially possible.

Callum is in his final push up phase before his long awaited return to stage debuting in classing. Everything we’re doing now is to ensure that process goes as smooth as possible and represents the WORK Callum has put in.

21lbs down for Josh, and in a much better position to grow!

The plan moving forward is to push up food, training performance and lower expenditure whilst keeping his composition similar to where it’s at so we can add a bit of muscle but also be in a much better starting point for when he next diets which will allow us to get him even leaner on more food and less expenditure than the previous diet phase.
