Celebrating the Feast of St Gabriel the Archangel
Yesterday, our school community came together to celebrate the Feast of St Gabriel the Archangel ; a special day of faith, prayer, service and community.
As part of the celebration, our students had the opportunity to plant the rose plant sent across all CMAT schools, creating a beautiful symbol of our shared faith and unity across the Trust. This simple act reminded us that, just like a rose needs care and nurturing to grow, our faith also needs to be nurtured through prayer, kindness and the way we support one another.
Our morning assembly focused on the significance of St Gabriel and the important message he brings to us. The whole school came together in prayer, reciting the St Gabriel Prayer and reflecting on his role as God's messenger. Students were encouraged to think about how they too can be messengers of hope, kindness, courage and faith within our school and wider community.
The celebration continued throughout the day with our wonderful angel-shaped cookies, which students enjoyed purchasing during break and lunchtime. The final fundraising total will be announced on Friday after Family Fast Day.
It was a beautiful opportunity for our students to celebrate their faith together, learn more about St Gabriel and reflect on how his example can inspire us in our everyday lives.
