This week, the Snowy Owls have enjoyed a wonderful range of activities. They had lots of fun planting their own sunflowers to take home and watch grow, providing a lovely opportunity to learn about nature and caring for plants. They also enjoyed an exciting trip to soft play, where they had plenty of opportunities to explore, play and have fun together. It has been a lovely week filled with learning, creativity and memorable experiences!

The school club had a wonderful visit to Emma Bridgewater! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed getting creative and crafting their very own plates to take home as a special, forever keepsake. It was a lovely day filled with creativity, laughter and wonderful memories.

Pre-School Room – Weekly Recap

What a fantastic week we have had in our pre-school room! We have been very busy learning lots of new things and, most importantly, having lots of fun along the way.

We have made the most of the lovely weather while exploring our topics of summer and life cycles. The children have enjoyed a range of exciting activities designed to encourage curiosity, exploration and learning through play.

We have also been focusing on developing our fine motor skills, with lots of cutting, sticking and hands-on activities. The children have particularly enjoyed exploring sand and water, using their senses and developing their coordination as they played and investigated.

It has been a fun-filled week full of learning, exploring and making wonderful memories together. We are so proud of all the children's enthusiasm and curiosity! 🌞🌱💦

🦉✨ What a fantastic week our Barn Owls have had! ✨🦉

This week, the Barn Owls have been extending their mathematical knowledge through lots of fun, hands-on activities! 🔢

The children have been busy sorting animals into big and small categories, measuring dinosaurs to discover which one is the biggest, and practising writing numbers using lots of different textures. 🦖📏

Our learning continued outdoors too, where the children enjoyed building with shapes, developing their understanding of shape, space and construction. 🔷🧱

We have also been developing our fine motor and scissor skills while carefully sequencing the different stages of a frog's life cycle. 🐸✂️

It's been a week full of exploring, problem-solving, creativity and lots of exciting learning!

🌟 What a fantastic week our Preschool has had! 🌟

This week, the children have truly taken their learning into their own hands as we followed their interests, allowing them to lead their own learning through play and exploration. We have enjoyed a variety of exciting activities that encouraged mark making, creative play, imagination, and lots of curiosity.

One of the highlights of the week was our trip to the park! 🛝🚌 The children travelled on public transport, making the journey an exciting learning experience in itself. Along the way, we talked about road safety and how to keep ourselves safe when out and about in our local community, helping the children develop confidence and awareness of the world around them.

It's been a week full of learning, laughter, adventure, and wonderful memories.

The Farmies have had a fantastic week continuing to explore our exciting topic of “Under the Sea!” 🐙🐬🐋🐳🐚

We’ve had lots of exciting opportunities to learn, explore and get creative whilst discovering more about the wonderful world beneath the waves! 🌊🐟

We began by using our imaginations to pretend to feed the fish some crackers! 🐠 The children explored the different textures of the crackers while developing their understanding of how we care for and feed fish.

Our learning then continued with a tinfoil boat activity, where we developed our mathematical knowledge by exploring which boats had more or fewer animals inside. 🚤🐙 The activity also provided a sensory experience as we explored the feel of the tinfoil, and water play whilst developing our physical skills by using straws to blow our boats along the water! 💨🌊

One of our favourite activities this week was becoming little under-the-sea bakers! 👩‍🍳🐬 We made our very own dolphin shaped shortbread, talking through each step of the process. We started by washing our hands and discussing the importance of good hygiene before putting on our baker hats and getting stuck in! We practised pouring, scooping and mixing our ingredients before shaping our dough into dolphins. 🐬🍪 The best part was getting to take our delicious creations home to enjoy! 😋

To finish our week, we became ocean rescuers! 🌊🗑️🐢 We worked together to clean up the ocean, using nets to fish out rubbish and help save the sea animals. The children explored the importance of looking after our oceans and the creatures that live in them, supporting their developing understanding of the world and encouraging us all to think about how we can care for our environment. 💙🐳

🌟🚜 What an amazing week of adventures our School Club has had! 🐒🐑

This week, we've been out exploring at Ammerton Farm and The Monkey Forest, and what a fantastic time we've had!

The children loved meeting and learning about lots of different animals, exploring the exciting play areas, and one of the highlights of the week was taking a ride on the tractor! 🚜 We also enjoyed spending time together outdoors, making memories, and having lots of fun with our friends.

It's been a week full of laughter, adventure, and new experiences that we'll remember for a long time!

🎩🫖 What a wonderfully mad day our School Club has had! 🫖🎩

Today, the children stepped into the magical world of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party! They had a fantastic time designing and creating their very own fabulous hats before getting busy making delicious sandwiches for our special afternoon tea.

We all sat together with our friends to enjoy a scrumptious tea party, filled with laughter, chatting, and plenty of smiles. It was a lovely opportunity to build friendships and let our imaginations run wild.

This week, the children have been busy exploring our outdoor area and taking part in lots of exciting activities linked to our topic for the month.

We've enjoyed making marks in a variety of different materials, exploring different textures, and developing our physical skills through hands-on play. The children have also taken part in activities that have supported their Personal, Social and Emotional Development, as well as encouraging their Communication and Language skills through conversations, shared experiences, and imaginative play.

Every day has been filled with curiosity, learning, laughter, and lots of smiles! 😊
