Dear parents,
just to confirm swimming is on today and that all sessions this month are covered while I am absent. Apologies for my lack of communication but I have had internet for less than 2 weeks. Train hard As a team
Derek
Seawolf Swimming Academy
Improving swimmers through technique, fitness and developing competitive skills. Wednesdays 630pm to 8pm. Sessions will be coached by Derek and Roberta.
Fridays 630/8pm Saturday 3:00/4:15 and Sunday 3:30-5:00! Seawolf Swimming Academy (SSA) is aimed at swimmers nearing the end of the teaching swimming program. The aim is to help swimmers who would like to continue swimming under coached sessions and
progress to competitive swimming. The coached sessions will enable swimmers to develop stroke technique, starts and turns for all competitive strokes
Dear all Seawolves,
As my time as coach comes to a temporary end I would like to take the time to thank all the present and past members of the club, parents and coaches who have helped the club over the last 6 years.
Both myself and Roberta founded the club as we wanted it to be different. We not only wanted high swimming standards but also wanted the sport of swimming to assist swimmers with their future careers.
I would like to take the time to personally offer a big thanks to Roberta who was instrumental at the until recently in not only coaching but also assisting in the administration.
I do not like particularly identifying any individual swimmers but felt two have been instrumental in the clubs development. First Olivia who has been present since the first training session and it has been lovely to watch her develop into a competitive swimmer. Second is Neve who was the a swimmer who showed up never wanting to do competitions but ended up being our first competive swimmer. At The first two competitions she was the only competitive Seawolf in attendance. Her success has provided the platform for other Seawolves to enter competitions.
To all the parents past and present It has been an honour and pleasure to have coached your children and watched them grow both as a swimmers and individuals.
I look forward to our last week together and my return in September 2018.

Dear Seawolves,
We hope the swimmers have enjoyed their Sunday off training. Seawolves are in Sheffield next weekend competing at the Robin Hood Open Meet. We are in the process of arranging a Friday night training session in Sheffield for the swimmers who will be competing at Ponds Forge. Could all parents let Derek know what time they expect to arrive in Sheffield so we can organise the start time of the training session. Unfortunately their will be no training sessions at Chell next weekend for those children not competing.
Our weekend training sessions have just got longer and more exciting!! We can confirm from Saturday 23rd September Training will start at 2:30pm and will run till 4:15pm!!
Further from 1st October Sunday morning training is being added to the training schedule at Chell from 9:30 am to 11:00am. We have tried to make this session as late as possible so the coach, parents and swimmers can have a rest on Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon training is being added from October 15th (start time to be confirmed). These extra sessions take the club to six practice sessions per week. Therefore over the next 12 months we are confident the children, parents and coaches will see personal bests and take the club another step forward.
We hope you and the children are happy and if we can make the club even better please let us know. Thank you for your continued support.

Seawolves training at Boundary Park yesterday.
Dear all Seawolves and parents,
It has been sadly announced today that our our home (Kidsgrove Sports Centre)of the last 4 years is to close on the 30th June 2017. I have worked tirelessly the last few hours to find a solution to our problems. I can confirm we have spoken another leisure centre who is keen to help and provide a new permanent home. It appears we should be able to keep the same days for training but there may have to be a different start time on one day. Once we have the time and days finalised we will provide additional information. This is a very sad day for the people of Kidsgrove but fortunately just a blip for the club. We will update you next week but you can now all rest assured we will continue swimming.

Hello everyone!
Sorry I was unable to attend as lennon had been poorly since Wednesday. He got worse over the weekend and needed lots of TLC! I would like to schedule it again however I know next Sunday is bank holiday! If you are attending please like this post so I can see numbers! Thank you again for your support! X
All swimmers we will be starting Saturday afternoon training from May 13th at 3:00pm. This is a new permanent training session. Your continued support is appreciated. It is only 5 years since the club was created. We continue to increase membership and we now are starting to see true competitive swimmers. The next 12 months will be the most exciting with more competitions and faster times for the swimmers. See you Wednesday.
