🌺 REMEMBER OUR PTFA POPPY PROJECT? 🌺

You may remember the launch of our wonderful PTFA Poppy Project earlier this year, and our community has already created some beautiful knitted and crocheted poppies. ❤️

We are now getting ready to create our special Remembrance display at school - and we’d love your help to make it even bigger and more meaningful!

🧶 Knitters & crocheters - please keep them coming!

If you have been busy making poppies, we would be incredibly grateful if you could bring them into the School Office.

📅 Deadline: Thursday 22nd October

Every single poppy will help us create a beautiful display for our children and community as we come together to remember and reflect. 🌺

A huge thank you to everyone who has already picked up their needles, hooks and wool and supported this special project. Your time, creativity and kindness are very much appreciated. 💚

💕 And that’s a wrap on our Grandparent Teas for another year! 🫖🍰

What an amazing week it has been! We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the event so special, to everyone who donated cakes and money, and to everyone who supported us along the way. We really hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did! ❤️

An extra special thank you to our incredible volunteers. These events take a lot of time, hard work and preparation, but we absolutely love putting them on and creating special memories for our children and their grandparents. We genuinely couldn’t do it without you! 🥰

Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful community, we have raised a fantastic £434.74! 🎉 This money will go towards PTFA projects and supporting the school wherever it is needed most, helping us create even more opportunities and special experiences for our children.

We are also delighted to now be the proud owners of some incredible china! ☕🌸 By bringing these beautiful pieces into our school events, we’re helping to preserve a little piece of Staffordshire’s history and keep its wonderful heritage alive for future generations. How special is that? 💚

The Grandparent Teas have never been about raising money, but we have been absolutely blown away by the incredible support and generosity shown towards the event so far. ❤️

This figure will change once we deduct the cost of the event, but we wanted to share just how incredible the support has been so far. The generosity of our community has truly meant so much to us.

We also said we would be transparent throughout, so we wanted to keep you updated and share where we are currently.

Thank you to every single person who has donated, bought raffle tickets, volunteered, or supported the teas in any way. 🫖🍰💕

You have helped us create something really special for our children and their grandparents, and we are so grateful. We are all looking forward to the final day tomorrow 🌸

A little plea from us ❤️

We have had two days of teas so far, and they have been absolutely fantastic! 🥰

We have, however, had some children arrive at the teas without a sweet treat. We completely understand that life can be hectic and things can get missed we really do.

We have plenty of lessons learned from this year, and there will be changes made to how the event runs next year.

But for now, please can we ask for your help with the following:

🍰 If you pre-ordered a treat for your child:
They will receive it. Their treat will be given to them by a teacher on the day.

🍰 If you did not complete the order form that was emailed out:
The deadline for pre-ordering has now passed, so please send a sweet treat in with your child or their grandparent.

Please remember that ALL children will go over to the hall for the tea, even if they do not have an adult attending with them. So if your child is coming to the tea, they will still need a treat — either one that was pre-ordered before the deadline or one that you provide for them to bring along.

We have to comply with the school’s allergy policy, which means we unfortunately cannot simply give children cakes or other treats that haven’t been ordered/provided appropriately.

We really appreciate everyone’s support and understanding — we just want every child to be able to enjoy their tea and feel included. 🫖🍰💗

We had a lovely first day of Grandparent Teas today and just wanted to share a few reminders for the rest of the week:

🍰 Sweet treats: If you didn’t pre-order a sweet treat for your child, please remember to send one in with them or their grandparent. This is so that, as a PTFA, we can remain compliant with the school’s allergy rules.

🚪 Grandparents: Please enter via Meadow Side.

🎟️ Raffle tickets: These are on sale, but at the moment we can only accept cash.

🧁 Cake donations: If you’d like to donate a cake, that would be amazing! These can be dropped off at reception or handed to us on the morning.

Thank you to those who came! We hoped you enjoyed yourselves. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying a sweet moment 💚

A big thank you to the team of volunteers who once again put on a spectacular event! We go again tomorrow for year 1 and year 2 😊
