We are very sad to let you all know that, after a long illness, Cath Broad (Melbourne) passed away yesterday….. RIP Cath
School reunion In 2019 it will be 50 years since the most of the 5th form left Congleton County Grammar School for Girls.
This would be a great year to celebrate, along with the girls who stayed on for the 6th form. Please say if you are interested in attending a reunion in June or July 2019, as well as letting us know where you are and what you are doing. Feel free to add photos of your time at Congleton, as well as any memories

Pre event gathering... several of us went to Sam Ivin (Fi’s son) exhibit at the Potteries Museum. Sam came to explain his work, which was awesome. With Elizabeth Whitehurst, Janet Goodfellow Judge, Kath Walton, Diane Richmond and Fi Ivin

Just finished final preparations, there have been a lot of excited interactions today and know we are all anticipating a good time tomorrow
We have now confirmed details for the reunion (thanks to Kate Allman for doing the running around today). Here are the details:
Saturday 22 June 2019
Lion and Swan, Swan Bank, Congleton CW12 1AH
Welcome and drinks 7 - 7:30pm
Light buffet dinner 7:30pm
Cost about £12 for food and fun (cash bar)
We now need serious commitments. Please email names to [email protected]. Prefer each person emails individually so we get a good contact list.
Spread the word, share on your social media accounts and let’s have a great evening.
Less than three months before the reunion and still lots to do. In order to make sure we choose the best venue, it would be great to start a rough head count. This will be a sit down dinner, at the most reasonable price possible. Please like, comment and definitely share this post with anyone in the 64-67 age range who went to CCGS and would like to catch up with old friends and perhaps a teacher or two

Thanks to Katy Allman for these photos...feel free to comment and name and shame!
Can we start to add some interesting tidbits to this page, such as your funniest memory while at school, or perhaps something amazing you have done since leaving that we are not aware of? Has anyone made it on the Queens honour list (or done time!)
We now have one of our former teachers who is interested in attending this reunion.....time to push the boat out people and make sure more former students and teachers connect with this page. It was agreed that anyone who left school from 1968-1972 would enjoy the occasion and (hopefully) recognise each other. I plan on firming up the date by the end of the year. Unless several people let me know otherwise, let’s keep it to the original date.

Compliments of Elizabeth Whitehurst, Form 1b with Miss Ann...1964-65. Time to name and shame everyone in attendance!

And the second school photo series is from 1970. We have lost Jill and Alison but gained Isabel.
Please share and tag with anyone in these photos, so we can spread the word about the reunion next year
