Today, 4GC combined Science and English as part of our unit on our class text, Varmints!

To prepare for writing non-chronological reports on the life cycle of a flower, the children got hands-on with real flowers, carefully dissecting them to explore plant anatomy up close.

They impressed us with their technical vocabulary and observational skills, confidently identifying and labeling tricky parts like the stigma, style, anther, and filaments.

This practical lesson gave the children fantastic first-hand experience, rich vocabulary, and clear structural notes that they will draw upon when drafting their formal report texts this week.

Exceptional work, 4GC! 🔬📝✨

Is it even Harvest time if you don’t hear Cauliflowers fluffy? 🍓🥒🫜

Well done to our Year 3 children for their wonderful assembly. There is so much to be thankful for and we are thankful for you Year 3. We are so proud of how well you have transitioned to our school.

Thank you also to all of our families who have provided a Harvest donation. This is very kind of you. All donations will be used to stock our community shop. 🙌
