Yesterday, Year 4 Monet swapped the classroom for the historic heart of the Potteries with a fantastic trip to Middleport Pottery!

The children became local historians for the day, exploring how iconic Stoke-on-Trent pottery was transported along the canals during the Victorian era. They even got to step right inside a real, giant bottle oven to see where the magic used to happen! 😮🔥

Year 5 broke out the classic bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to learn about irreversible chemical changes—and yes, it was just as wonderfully messy and bubbly as it sounds! 🥽🧪

Year 1 have enjoyed a visit to park Hall today. 🌞

They were on the look out for different types of plants and wildlife. 🐞🐝

On Friday, our Year 3 Van Gogh class went on a fantastic trip to the Apedale Heritage Centre! The children had a brilliant time stepping back in time, exploring the underground coal mine, and discovering local history in the museum. 🎒✨

This fantastic recognition is all thanks to the incredible number of children who walk, cycle, or scoot to school every day. It is a huge achievement and a true reflection of the dedication shown by our pupils, families, and staff to healthy, active, and sustainable travel. 🌱✨

Thank you to everyone who has made a conscious effort to swap the car keys for walking shoes, bikes, or scooters. You are making our community healthier, safer, and greener!

We have some exciting news to share with you.

A group of our Year 6 pupils went to Angel Square on Friday to compete in the Maths Olympics alongside lots of other Trust Primaries.

It was a fierce battle but we are very proud to announce that our team achieved first place 🎉🎉🎉. They have returned with big smiles and a beautiful trophy for our cabinet which is filling up very quickly!

This has been a fantastic opportunity for the children and as always they demonstrated our Co-op Values. A big thank you to Mrs Miah and Mr Leonard for taking the children to Manchester and supporting them all the way!

Miss Lousia and the Nurturing Blossoms have been busy in the polytunnel again. 🥒🍎

It's absolutely thriving! We can't wait to see how big our carrots get. 🥕

Nursey enjoyed a special vist from Rent a Beast last week.

The children got to see, touch and learn about lots of different types of minibeasts.

What a bugtastic time! 🕷️🪲

We are still looking for volunteers to support our Aspirations day.

So far, we will be having a Thoracic Surgeon visiting us, a road Safety Officer and a police officer.
