Wellbeing Wednesday
“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there someday.” Winnie the Pooh
In the rush of busy days, it’s easy to feel like everything needs doing right now. But like a river, progress doesn’t have to be hurried to be meaningful. Take a moment today to slow down, breathe, and trust that you’re moving forward, even if it’s one small step at a time.
Be kind to yourself. You’re getting there.

A Fond Farewell to Miss Bunyan
Today we said goodbye to someone who has been at the very heart of our Trust for well over a decade — the wonderful Miss Bunyan, who has had her final day at Haywood Academy.
Starting her journey with the City Learning Trust in 2011, she has worn more hats than we can count — and she’s worn every single one with energy, creativity and that unmistakable Bunyan sparkle.
From her early days at Trentham Academy to her final chapter here at Haywood, she has made an incredible impact across our schools.
Just a few of the many things she’s done…
As Communications & E‑Learning Manager, she helped transform Trentham’s digital learning through Apple technology
Played a key role in implementing the iPad scheme
Ran the Media Centre and green screen studio, helping students explore journalism and produce professional‑style digital work
Supported the creation and distribution of newsletters
Promoted academy highlights across our social media platforms
Checked, monitored and supported school trips, ensuring everything was planned safely and accurately
And honestly… if there was a job to do, she did it — with a smile, a story and a spring in her step
As you relocate across the country and begin your next adventure, we wish you nothing but happiness, success and exciting new chapters.
Good luck from all of us at Haywood!

Y10 Art & Photography Take Liverpool!
Our Year 10 Art and Photography students have spent the day soaking up creativity and culture on their inspiring trip to RIBA North, the Walker Gallery, and the iconic Albert Dock — and what a day it’s been.
Students explored a wide range of fantastic artwork, from bold contemporary pieces to timeless classics, giving them fresh ideas, new perspectives and plenty of inspiration for their own projects.
Their engagement was brilliant throughout — sketching, photographing, analysing and discussing the work around them with real enthusiasm. A proper creative boost for everyone involved.
A wonderful day of art, architecture and imagination.
