Your community. Your voice. Your local academy. ๐
Weโre looking for Community Council Members to join our Academy Community Councils.
Academy Community Councils are the local committees that help our academies provide the best opportunities for children and young people.
You donโt need to work in education or have governance experience.
Weโre looking for people who care about their community, want young people to succeed and are happy to bring their own perspective to the table.
Training and support are provided.
๐ฌ Want to know more before deciding? Book an informal 1-2-1 chat with our Governance Team. www.coopacademies.co.uk/governance

๐ฆด This week in Science, the Year 3 children have been learning all about skeletons and exploring the different types of skeletons that animals have.
๐ฆดThey discovered that humans and many other animals have an endoskeleton, which is a skeleton inside the body, while creatures such as insects and millipedes have an exoskeleton, a hard outer covering that protects and supports them. The children also learned about a hydrostatic skeleton, which is found in animals such as worms and jellyfish, where movement and support come from fluid within the body.
๐ฆดTo round off our learning, the children had a wonderful surprise today when they met Brownie, a Giant African Millipede belonging to our Community Pioneer, Mrs Fleming!
๐ฆด It was a fantastic hands-on experience, giving everyone the chance to closely observe an animal with an exoskeleton and bringing our Science learning to life.

๐ณ๐ฅ KS1 had a fantastic time at Forest School this afternoon with Miss Shingler!
The children enjoyed making their very own sโmores by melting marshmallows and sandwiching them between chocolate digestives. ๐ซ๐ชโจ
There were lots of smiles and happy faces as they tucked into their delicious treats. Yum yum! ๐
What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon outdoors! ๐ฟ

As we are coming to the end of another academic year, we would like to take a moment to say a huge thank you to Mrs Harrison, Mrs Keeling and Mrs Robertson, who will be sadly leaving our team.
Each of them has been a valued part of the Co-op Academy Hamilton family for many years, making a lasting difference to the lives of our pupils, supporting families and being wonderful colleagues. Their kindness and commitment have helped make Hamilton the special place it is today, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they have done.
We wish Mrs Harrison and Mrs Keeling every success and happiness as they begin their exciting new roles.
And to Mrs Robertson โ congratulations on your well deserved retirement! We hope this next chapter is filled with relaxation and many wonderful new adventures.
You will all be greatly missed.
