What a fabulous time Year 6 have had in London this week! π¬π§β¨
Theyβve taken in all the iconic sights, enjoyed an unforgettable trip to see The Lion King in the West End, explored museums and experienced so much more along the way.
We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, behaviour and the memories theyβve made together - what a fantastic trip! π¦ππ

There has been lots of exciting things going on in school this week! π
Our Nursery children had a very special visit from an undercover police car, which caused lots of excitement and curiosity! π
Reception enjoyed a wonderful trip to Trentham Gardens, exploring the outdoors and making lots of lovely memories. πΏ
Meanwhile, Year 5 stepped back in time with their visit to the Black Country Living Museum, where they experienced life from the past and learned so much along the way. π«
We are so proud of all our children and the enthusiasm they have shown in these fantastic experiences! π

Our children have had a fantastic day celebrating Sir David Attenboroughβs 100th birthday! ππ
To mark the occasion, the children took part in a sponsored bug hunt and raised an incredible Β£2,071.62 β what an amazing achievement! π
Throughout the day, they also enjoyed creating a variety of bug habitats, making bird seed balls and designing thoughtful birthday cards.

Heron Cross Primary School is delighted to invite families of new children joining our Nursery and Reception classes to our EYFS Open Evening on Thursday 21st May, from 3:30pm to 4:15pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our friendly EYFS team, connect with members of the Senior Leadership Team and explore the learning spaces your child will be part of. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing how we support your childβs early learning journey!

5B were invited back to Go Store this morning to create a bug hotel! ππͺ΅ The children worked brilliantly as a team, showing fantastic cooperation and creativity.
After all their hard work, they enjoyed a well-deserved hot chocolate and took part in a fun quiz! ββ
Well done, 5B β you represented the school brilliantly and thank you to Go Store for having us visit again!π

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Colour Run this afternoon as part of our Holi celebrations! ππββοΈ It was a fantastic turnout and the event was filled with smiles, laughter and lots of colourful fun.
Throughout the day, all of the children also took part in their own colour runs, making it a wonderful whole-school celebration of the Holi festival! π¨β¨
A massive thank you as well to our amazing staff for helping to make it such a memorable occasion once again. We really appreciate all the support from our school community.
