Adult Learning Stoke Adult & Community Learning, Employment & Skills, Stoke-on-Trent City Council Adult and Community Learning is grant funded by the Skills Funding Agency.

Our aim is to provide high quality learning opportunities to the local community. We offer a range of provision from Apprenticeships and Foundation Learning (Learn 4 Work) to Family Learning workshops and courses and a wide range of Adult Learning opportunities. Our Family and Adult Learning courses are aimed at those aged 19+ with Learn 4 Work opportunities for 16+. Our goal is to give our learners the best possible learning experience.

Whether you're a complete beginner or just need a refresher, our Learn to Use a Sewing Machine course is the perfect place to start! 🪡

Over 3 fun, hands-on weeks, you'll learn essential sewing techniques, master stitches and seams, and create your very own tote bag. By the end of the course, you'll have the confidence to work with fabrics and take on exciting new sewing projects! 🌟

Would you know what to do in a cardiac emergency?

Our CPR and AED Workshop is a hands-on course designed to give you the skills and confidence to respond in an emergency. You'll learn essential life-saving techniques, including:
✅ Recognising the signs of cardiac arrest
✅ Performing effective chest compressions (CPR)
✅ Safe and confident use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
✅ Providing vital support until professional help arrives

No previous experience is required, making this course suitable for anyone who wants to learn these important skills.
