Tuesday rehearsals for Shrek are continuing with pace, enthusiasm, and commitment as well as the occasional belly laugh! This week Shrek and Donkey got to meet for the first time, and Lord Farquaad was lording it over his subjects. Please note there will not be a whole cast rehearsal on Tuesday 6th October due to the music event in the hall and only Shrek, Donkey, Lord Farquaad, and the Duloc performers are needed.

In this week's technical theatre extra-curricular group, students were working on making a lace handkerchief, flags for Duloc, a file on princess Fiona as well as further painting of signs to go round the hall warning people about ogres! The group are developing their measuring, cutting and creative skills and all work with a smile on their faces and great humour!

Last week the U16 Boys and Girls 5-a-side teams, travelled to Excel for the City 5-a-side tournament. Both teams did exceptionally well, winning their respective tournaments. It's great for them both to have success so early in the academic year, well done and hopefully a sign of more to come.

Last week's Tomorrow's Teachers session focused on the skills and qualities of an effective teacher. After prioritising their top nine, the group took on different roles as either students or teachers. The task, collaborate with others to teach your student how to make some biscuits.

They discovered the importance of planning lesson timings, making verbal instructions clear and being patient!

Great work Tomorrow's Teachers, you have made a superb start to the programme.
