Goodbye to Cook Jenny!

Today is a sad day as we say goodbye to Cook Jenny after an astonishing 39 years at Sandon!

She has seen generations of families come and go over that time and, by our reckoning, will have served at 7,605 lunchtime services.

If we estimate an average of 250 children enjoying school dinners each day, that means Jenny has helped serve an incredible 1,901,250 meals during her time at Sandon!

What an amazing achievement and a true testament to her dedication, hard work and care for the children and families of our school community.

We are sure that many past and present pupils will remember Jenny and the important role she has played in school life over nearly four decades.

While we will all miss Jenny tremendously, the kitchen is in very safe hands with Cook Deb, who has worked alongside her for the last 12 years.

Thank you, Jenny, for everything you have done for Sandon. We wish you a long, happy and well-deserved retirement! 💐👏🍽️

We're excited to announce that Sandon Fest will now be a Back to School Celebration, giving our whole school community the perfect chance to kick off the new school year in style!

That means not one, but TWO Sandon Fests next year, plus our much-loved Winter Fest too! 🤩

A huge thank you to Staffordshire Event & Party Hire Ltd for working with us to bring you this new date and for providing all of the amazing inflatables enjoyed by our Year 6 children and Grangewood winners yesterday. They had the best time celebrating. Thank you!
