Congratulations to last weeks Top Ten Students 🎉

Hey everyone! I hope you're all well.

We’ve got lots happening over the next couple of months, so please see the flyers below for details, booking information, and purchases.

May – Purple Belt Campaign for Refuge UK Purple belts and Refuge T-shirts can be worn throughout the whole month of May.

Alongside this, Sensei Libby will be running a Self Defence Seminar on Sunday 31st May at the Cheadle Dojo, from 10:00am–11:30am. Normal class will resume from 11:30am.

This seminar is open to both GKR and non-GKR members, so feel free to bring along family and friends! Payment must be made in advance via the QR code on the flyer.

Last weeks Top Ten Students 🤩

Due to the limited space we had for the grading last weekend, it was decided that we would split the event into two sessions. Firstly, those attempting their 8th Kyu Yellow Belts and 7th Kyu Orange Belts, followed by those attempting 6th Kyu Green Belt and above.

As this was new to us all, we weren’t quite sure how it was going to go, but it worked brilliantly! It’s definitely something we will continue doing moving forward.

Once again, a fabulous display of your knowledge, skill, and technique was on show for all the instructors to see. Well done to every single one of you.

Grading Day TOMORROW🥋

Congratulations to all of our students who have been put forward for grading this month!🤩

Here’s what you need to know👇🏼

📍 Grading will take place at Birches Head Academy IN THE SPORTS HALL

🕙STUDENTS ATTEMPTING YELLOW OR ORANGE BELT - Grading/Assessment begins at 2pm and will take 1hr.

🕚 ALL OTHER GRADES - Grading/Assessment begins at 3pm and will take 2hrs.

Don’t be late! Please arrive at least 10mins early to sign in and warm up.

💳 Grading fee to be paid on arrival at the sign in desk - CARD ONLY.
🥋 Full Gi (karate uniform) including belt AND badge is mandatory at gradings.
💧Bring a bottle of water with you - there will be drink breaks just like a normal class.
Bring your Full training card with you
