Petition: Allow Ofsted registered childminders to receive funding for related children We believe it is unjust that nurseries and preschools receive funding for children related to staff at the same rate as anyone else, while dedicated childminders can't receive funding for caring for a child who is related to them.

Creating a baby bath caddy with everything you might need at bath time means you’ll have everything close to hand. Because remember, babies can drown in just a few centimetres of water, very quickly and with no noise or struggle to alert you. So, you should always stay with your baby whilst they’re in the bath. And, the last thing you want is to go searching for a towel with a slippery, wet, potentially unhappy baby in your arms.
What would you keep in your baby bath basket?

Last summer I asked Laura to come to take some pics of the children whilst happily playing in the garden, the children loved her and didn’t want her to leave the photos were beautiful I’d highly recommend her she’s fantastic just take a look at her page TheLittlePhotoCompany

LED candles make great alternatives to candles with flames. But, they may contain easy-access button batteries that can badly hurt or kill a child if swallowed.
So, please check the button battery compartments are secure. If not, keep them well out of reach of young children.

Our cheeky little elf loves a healthy snack. But the size and shape of whole grapes means they can easily block a child’s airway and can be difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.
That’s why grapes and other round foods such as cherry tomatoes, blueberries and cherries should be chopped in half lengthways and ideally in quarters before being given to children or cheeky Christmas elves.

There have been a number of reports on social media and in the press about a recent incident involving silicone feeding bowls: a baby feeding themself placed a silicone bowl, like the one pictured here, over their face, and the bowl formed an airtight seal across their mouth and nose.
When a vacuum is formed in this way, it can be difficult for the parent/carer to remove the bowl which in turn causes them both to panic. Whilst no fatalities have been reported, incidents such as this are potentially dangerous and extremely frightening for the parent and baby.

Happy Halloween! We hope you have a safe and spooktacular time.
If you’re trick or treating tonight please remember:
🎃Halloween costumes can be highly flammable. Try to keep little ones as far away from naked flames as possible. Even better, use LED candles, glow sticks or torches to light up your pumpkins instead.
🎃Help make children more visible to drivers by adding reflective tape to their costumes or accessorising with glow sticks.
🎃Masks are spooktacular but they can make it harder for children to see or hear traffic. So, consider using face paint for trick or treating and save the masks for indoors.
🎃Watch out for treats that might be a choking hazard for young children, like hard sweets, lollipops or mini-eggs. It’s best to avoid eating while walking or running, so you may want to save up all the treats to enjoy back at home.

Have you heard of the pinch test? Don't let the name confuse you. The pinch test helps you keep your child safe in a car seat. The car seat harness should be snug against the child. If you can pinch a horizontal fold in the webbing at your child's shoulders, the harness is still too loose.

I’d like a small slide if anyone is throwing one out it needs to be able to be used indoors for a 22 month old as he loves climbing
