WARNING: Baby sleep pillows can be deadly

These soft pillows and cushions are often marketed for baby sleep or as somewhere for a baby to be left unsupervised. But this can cause suffocation or overheating, and your baby might even die.

Despite what some online product listings suggest, pillows are not recommended for babies until they are at least 12 months old. The safest place for your baby to sleep is on a clear, firm, flat surface.

Slime is great fun, if you can handle the mess. But some slime products for sale online contain a slimy surprise – high doses of harmful chemicals.

Many have been recalled because they contain excess amounts of boron. Exposure to this can cause irritation, diarrhoea, vomiting and cramps and may damage a child’s reproductive system.

If slime is on your Christmas shopping list, please buy from reputable brand names and retailers and avoid shopping with unknown sellers online.

The joy of giving continues....

We also visited Tiny Stars Normacot yesterday with a donation of children's books.

Tiny stars were very happy to receive this donation to make a welcome addition to their library.

It is lovely to help others in our community ❤️
