We’re so proud of all the fantastic entries celebrating our planet. A huge thank you to Jacksons Nurseries for kindly donating these lovely plants as prizes – a perfect way to keep the Earth Day spirit growing! 💚🌸

This week we are celebrating Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday, his amazing life experiences and what makes him a scientist.

We would love you to join in at home by obsering nature, making bird feeders, making bug houses, creating planters, planting flower/seeds, reseaching endangered animals and thinking about 'you' can make a difference to our planet.

Please send any photos of your activities to Mrs Cliffe via dojo so that we can celebrate your child's home activities.

Visit from Local MP 👏

On Friday, we were delighted to welcome Gareth Snell MP to our school to meet with staff and see the fantastic work taking place across the school. His visit focused primarily on our breakfast club, where he spent time speaking with pupils and staff and seeing the provision in action. He was extremely complimentary about the experience, describing our breakfast club as the best he had visited. We are very proud of this recognition and of the commitment our staff show each morning to ensuring pupils have a positive start to the school day.

Do you have an interest, hobby or job linked to science or STEM?

We’d love for you to come into school and chat with the children about it.

This could be anything – nothing formal and definitely nothing scary! Just sharing what you enjoy or what you do.

• Gardening, plants or growing food
• Baking, cooking or food science
• Nutrition, food labels & healthy choices
• Fixing or building things
• Working with animals or caring for unusual pets
• Recycling, sustainability & caring for our planet
• Astronomy, space or weather

• Healthcare, laboratories or science‑based jobs
• Fossils, dinosaurs or rocks
• Technology, coding or electronics
