🍂🍁 Autumn Maths Fun! 🍁🍂

We’ve been exploring the wonderful world of autumn while developing our maths skills! 🌰🍃

The children enjoyed sorting autumn treasures by colour, type and texture, comparing objects using words such as more, less, bigger and smaller, and exploring size and shape as we investigated leaves, conkers, acorns and pinecones.

From finding the biggest leaf to grouping objects that are the same shape or size, our outdoor learning provided lots of opportunities to practise mathematical thinking through play.
