The Children's Occupational Therapy service helps children to be able to do their everyday activities where a physical disability or impairment is making it hard for them. We see children who have difficulties because of conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Arthritis, or a motor coordination problem. Handwriting Warm up 📝✍🏽
Performing hand exercises before writing or drawing tasks prepares a child’s hands for activity. This increases the awareness of what their hand muscles and joints are doing, improving motor control and aiding motor memory for fine motor tasks like writing.
