Well done to our girls who participated in the cricket tournament at Barlaston cricket club. Due to weather, the semi final and final were cancelled but the girls still enjoyed playing against 3 other schools.

J1 and J2 visited Bobby's Ice Cream parlour to practise ordering ice-creams in Spanish. They needed to order in full sentences, including using 'Quisiera' (I would like) and 'por favor' (Please).
A massive thank you to the staff at Bobby's for helping make it a fantastic experience for all of the children, and a massive round of applause for the children for their excellent manners and confidence. Bobby's Ice Cream Parlour
🍦🇪🇸 A Special Visit to Bobby's! 🇪🇸🍦
Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming 56 wonderful pupils from Weston Infant & Junior Academies to Bobby's!
The children were an absolute credit to their school — polite, friendly, and full of smiles. ❤️
As part of their learning, they had to order their ice cream in Spanish, which was fantastic to see! Our team were amazing, and Hayley and Jude even had to brush up on their Spanish skills before the visit! 😅
Thank you to all the staff and pupils for choosing to visit us. We loved being part of your learning experience and hope you all enjoyed your ice cream.
¡Gracias! ❤️💛

Please see this week's Wake Up Wednesday information to support you in keeping your child safe online.
Online grooming is a serious and growing threat, with offenders using a range of tactics to build trust with children and young people before exploiting that relationship.
This can happen across social media, gaming platforms, messaging apps and group chats, often through fake identities, flattery, gifts or pressure.
Our latest guide highlights key risks, including:
• Strangers using fake identities
• Exploitation through gifts and flattery
• Group chats creating hidden pathways
• Gaming platforms becoming grooming gateways
• Sextortion, criminal grooming and radicalisation
The guide also offers practical advice for parents and educators on recognising warning signs, understanding the platforms children use and creating open, regular conversations.

The Junior children did a great job with their Digital Worship!

Dear Parents and Carers,
Throughout the school year the schools within our Trust produce a Digital Worship which is then shared with all of the other schools within our Trust. The theme for Weston Junior Academy's Digital Worship is Encouragement which is one of the key words in our SBMAT Trust PEACE values. Please take a look at our Digital Worship.
