Coming to the end of a busy and varied first month of the academic year. The one thing you can predict is unpredictability!

September, in my new role, has tended to be quiet, so I naively assumed that this year would be the same. No chance! This week has involved a school visit, arrangements for two other visits, lots of bookings onto the CPD events, a few bits of exam board work and some mock marking for a sixth form college.
Been really good to be busy but a little behind on things like monthly newsletters and setting up online Booster sessions. Will save those for next week. Time to rest.

As teachers we may say that we are far too busy to rest. But there’s a false economy here - busy leads to tired leads to everything taking twice as long..

Can't believe it's coming up to 10 years since was first published. Sad to say that it is still very relevant. Hope it continues to make a positive contribution to teacher wellbeing. Available at all good online bookshops and some of the dodgier ones too!
