As we come to the end of another school year, we’d like to say thank you to everyone who has been part of it.

To our children – thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and the smiles you bring to school each day. We’ve loved seeing your confidence grow and celebrating everything you’ve achieved.

To our staff – thank you for everything you’ve given this year. Your care, encouragement, and commitment make such a difference to our children every single day. We hope you take the time this summer to rest, recharge, and enjoy a well-deserved break.

A big thank you to our PTA for everything you’ve done this year. Your fundraising and support have made a real difference to our school and our children.

And to our parents, carers, and wider community, thank you for your continued support. Working together helps make our school the place it is.

Today we say a fond farewell to Danielle and Katie as they step down from our PTFA following their children's time at Thursfield Primary School.

We would like to say a huge thank you for the dedication, commitment and countless hours you have given to supporting our children, families and school community over the years. Your hard work behind the scenes has helped create so many wonderful events, opportunities and memories for our pupils, and your kindness and enthusiasm have made a real difference.

As your children move on to the next stage of their journey, we want you both to know how much your support has been appreciated. The PTFA team will miss you both, and Thursfield won't quite be the same without you!

🌟🏅 Celebrating Our Amazing Year 6 Pupils 🏅🌟

This morning, we came together for a very special Celebration Assembly to recognise the incredible achievements of our Year 6 pupils.

Throughout the year, our children have achieved so much, particularly in sport, demonstrating determination, resilience, teamwork and a true passion for representing Thursfield Primary School. From outstanding performances to fantastic results, every achievement has been earned through hard work, dedication and a willingness to always give their best.

It was a privilege to celebrate these successes and reflect on the many wonderful memories they have created during their time with us. We also had the pleasure of presenting each Year 6 pupil with their 'Ticket to Anywhere'—a reminder that the future is full of endless possibilities. As they prepare to begin the next chapter of their journey, we hope they carry with them the confidence to dream big, work hard and believe that anything is possible.

We are incredibly proud of every single one of you. Thank you for the enthusiasm, determination and kindness you have shown throughout your time at Thursfield. Whatever path you choose next, we know you will continue to achieve amazing things.

🍦🌟 Ice Cream Treat! 🌟🍦

Our Year 6 children enjoyed a lovely visit from the Ice Cream Man this afternoon as a special treat to celebrate their incredible achievements this year and the fantastic success of their end-of-year show.

The ice creams looked absolutely delicious, and the children thoroughly enjoyed them! It was a wonderful way to recognise all of their hard work, resilience and dedication throughout their time at Thursfield Primary School.

Well done, Year 6! You have made us all incredibly proud, and we hope you enjoyed your well-deserved treat. We wish you every success and happiness as you begin your next adventure! 💙✨

📚🌟 Reading Awards Celebration! 🌟📚

A huge congratulations to all of our Reading Award winners! It is wonderful to see so many of our children developing a real love of reading and enjoying books both in and out of school.

A very special well done to Jasmine, who was the lucky winner of our Kindle prize—we hope you enjoy discovering lots of new stories! 📖✨

Congratulations also to all of the children who have achieved their Gold Reading Certificate this year. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication, commitment and enthusiasm you have shown towards reading.

At Thursfield Primary School, we are passionate about promoting the importance of reading. We know that reading opens doors to new worlds, develops imagination and creativity, and supports learning across the curriculum. We are incredibly proud of all of our children for embracing reading and making it such an important part of school life.

🎹🌟 Golden Book Assembly Piano Recital 🌟🎹

A huge well done to all of the children who performed in our Golden Book Assembly this morning as part of our piano recital.
Each and every performance was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see the confidence, talent and dedication on display.

The children have worked incredibly hard throughout the year, and the progress they have made has been amazing. It was a pleasure to celebrate their achievements and share their musical talents with the rest of the school.

We are so proud of all of our performers for their commitment, perseverance and enthusiasm. Keep practising and enjoying your musical journey – we can't wait to see what you achieve next! 🎶👏

🏊‍♀️🌟 Swimming Gala Success! 🌟🏊‍♂️

A huge well done to our fantastic group of Year 5 and 6 children who represented Thursfield Primary School at their swimming gala.

The team performed brilliantly, finishing 2nd overall in their heat. Throughout the event, they showed incredible determination, commitment and teamwork, giving their very best in every race. We were especially proud of their impeccable behaviour and the way they encouraged and supported one another, making them wonderful ambassadors for our school.

A very special congratulations goes to Millie H., who achieved an incredible new record in the Girls' Individual Medley, finishing in an outstanding 59.81 seconds! 🏅 This breaks a record that had stood since 2015—an amazing achievement that Millie should be incredibly proud of.

Well done to everyone who took part. You represented Thursfield Primary School with pride and should all be very proud of your achievements. We can't wait to see what you accomplish next! 💙

A huge congratulations to our Year 5/6 girls' football team, who played brilliantly at their tournament this afternoon and were crowned tournament winners with a fantastic 2–1 victory! 🎉

The girls played some amazing football throughout the tournament, showing excellent teamwork, communication, determination and resilience in every match. They supported one another from start to finish and represented Thursfield Primary School with pride, respect and outstanding sportsmanship.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. Your hard work, commitment and positive attitude have truly paid off, and you thoroughly deserved your success. Well done, girls – what a fantastic achievement! 🌟⚽💙
