Staffordshire University Fine Art Course

Congratulations to Bella Roja - selected as The North Staffordshire Art Society’s favourite degree show exhibition of 2026 as voted for by the society members. Also well done to Amie Marson and Amie Barlow who were selected for the Runners Up prizes this year. We would like to also say a huge thank you to the society for supporting our students for the fourth year in a row. This is such brilliant recognition for our students and a great opportunity for them to have their work viewed by arts enthusiasts from across North Staffordshire.

Our students did such a fantastic job of giving micro-talks about their degree show installations today for the North Staffordshire Arts Society Committee members that visited today. Each year the society awards a top prize and two runners up prizes for the best Degree shows voted for by their members. It is such important recognition for our students of their hard work and the opportunity to present is also so valuable. Well done everyone. Winners will be announced next week at the Society’s next event. The North Staffordshire Art Society meet at the Wade Centre, Hartshill every second Thursday of the month for a fascinating series of Lectures.

A little appreciation post for all our graduates that came back to see us last night - some from the last few years and others who graduated decades ago - we absolutely love to see you again at our degree show each year and to hear about the brilliant things you are all doing! Also wonderful to see staff members return from over the years to catch up too - our degree show is like one giant Fine Art family party in celebration of this years graduating students 💚🌞💚See you all again next year we hope!

So much hard work this week, getting our Degree Show up and looking great. We’re actually further on than these photos suggest - we’ve just been too busy to take any action shots! We did find time, however to spot Fine Art lecturer’s work in a degree show catalogue from decades ago! It’s a good job I never throw anything away!

Well done everyone. A great week’s work is done!
