Today has been a very sad day for all of us here at Blossoms and our lovely families 💔 🥲.
We are so sorry for the short notice, the staff found out today as well as the families.
Unfortunately Alpha Nurseries has had to close all of their nurseries including Blossoms from today due to financial reasons. The nurseries will sadly not be reopening 😞.
Thank you so much to the lovely families and children that have made Blossoms such a lovely place to work at. Each of the staff members have loved coming into work each day to see the lovely children and we will miss them all so much 💔.
As many of you know Blossoms was improving in many ways so it is such a shame that we couldn’t see it reach its full potential.

I hope you are all able to find alternative childcare for your children, please feel free to contact me directly if you should need any support or recommendations 💕.

Each parent will receive a letter soon with more information about refunds etc.

Once again thank you all for making Blossoms the best place I have ever worked at. I appreciate all of you. Please give your children an extra hug from me and the rest of the team💕.

We wish you all good luck and success in the future,

From Katie and all of the Blossoms team xx

There are some exciting changes happening soon with childcare funding. More parents will have access to government funding to help with childcare :). Your child may already be eligible for 2 year old funding or 3 year old funding, if you are unsure if your child is eligible then please ring our nursery on: 01782 274519 or email: [email protected] or speak to a member of staff at the nursery and we will help you. We understand applying for funding can be confusing so we are here to help. In the past we have had parents who did not realise their child was entitled to funding and we have assisted them with applying for this which has helped them a lot. Some parents have been able to go to college as a result. We love helping people so do not feel embarrassed if you feel like you need some assistance with this.

Did you know that we have a refer a friend scheme here at Blossoms day nursery? If you refer a friend who then signs their child up to start attending at the nursery then you will receive either a free school day session 9am-15.00pm or can have free lunches at nursery for a week :). If you would like to speak to a member of staff regarding the terms and conditions of the refer a friend scheme then please contact the nursery on 01782 274519 or email: [email protected].

‼️COMPETITION TIME‼️ We thought it was time to give our lovely parents of the children here at Blossoms an opportunity to win either a free school day session 9am-15.00pm or 5 days of free lunches for their child (terms and conditions will apply).

If your child attends Blossoms and you would be interested in winning one of these prizes then please share this post and also leave a review on our page and our google page (Blossoms day nursery stoke) :).

When you write a review your name will get entered into a prize draw and every time you share this post your name will get entered again so the more times you share the bigger the chance you have of winning. Once you have entered into the competition we will email you a number and then we will do a live stream of choosing the winner at random and will announce the winning number, once enough people have entered the competition :).

If you would like to know more about the terms and conditions please contact the nursery on 01782 274519.

Just to remind everyone we have spaces available in each of our rooms at nursery, including: The baby room, toddler room and pre-school. We are happy to provide show arounds. 🦔 🦊🐰🐴🦆The Happy hedgehog toddler room’s small world area has also had an update. Katie, Danielle and Laura have worked hard to create a fun, engaging space for the children to explore. The children love learning about different animals, especially animals that they don’t see in the areas that they live in. So we thought adding pictures of different animals would be a good learning experience for the children. We are also teaching the children about the different habitats the different animals live in 🥰. We will change the different small world toys each day by asking the children what they would like to play with/ offering them a choice as we realised having a lot of boxes of toys in the play space was making it difficult for the children to actually engage in play. The children seem to play more calmly now and engage in more purposeful play/schematic play. We are also creating a booklet filled with pictures of the children’s family pets and the staff pets so we can talk about these during circle time. So if any parents have pictures of their pets, please can we have a copy of these? 🥰 I’m sure the chilren would love it 🦆🐴🐰🦊🦔

🌲🌿🪵🕷️🪲🐛🦋🐌🐞🪵🌿🌲 The Happy Hedgehog room now has an investigation station. We are currently investigating minibeasts as the children talk a lot about insects and minibeasts they have seen outside. We think this area will be a great addition to the room as it will help the children get a better understanding of the world around them and also learn more details about things they are interested in. We will be teaching children about being kind to the minibeasts around us and about the different places and habitats you can find different minibeasts in. The children love going on minibeast hunts and there will be a lot of regular activities relating to this investigation area throughout the year. We will keep you updated as we adjust the area depending on what the children are interested in 🥰🌲🌿🪵🐞🐌🦋🐛🪲🕷️🪵🌿🌲.

⚠️🛠️⚒️🔨🔧⚠️ Our Happy Hedgehog construction area has also recently been under construction. Katie and Danielle felt that the toddlers needed more space in the construction area. The construction tray will have different construction resources in it each day which will be based around the children’s interests/preference. We will ask the children what construction toys they would like out, to encourage children to voice their opinions and thoughts and so that the children know their voices and choices matter ⚠️🔧🔨⚒️🛠️⚠️.

🍃 🍁 🍂 🪵🌿🪹🦔 Katie and Danielle have been busy making improvements to our Happy hedgehog (toddler) room. Our children at Blossoms love making and playing with playdough so we decided it would be a good idea to have a dedicated playdough station. The children can now independently access loose parts and playdough resources as well as access to ingredients that they can use to make playdough. We love using natural resources as we feel it encourages the children to use their imagination and become creative as they decide what they would like to use, how to use it and what they want to make with it.
We will change the resources in the playdough station regularly depending on the children’s interests, to keep this area interesting for the children. We will also include seasonal resources such as autumn leaves, twigs, flowers etc as a fun way to teach children about the world around them. We do currently have space in our Toddler room so if you would like to book in a show around or ask for more information then please contact us via our telephone: 01782 274519 or email: [email protected] 🥰🦔🪹🌿🪵🍂🍁🍃.

We want to make sure that parents don’t need to choose between having a career and having a family.

That’s why today, we’re confirming that from January, more parents will be able to apply to claim their government-funded childcare provision.
As part of the biggest childcare expansion in history, this will give eligible working parents access to 15 hours of childcare per week from April.

New childminders can also receive a financial boost of up to £1,200 with the launch of the Childminder Start-up Grant Scheme starting tomorrow.

We recommend applying for childcare support between mid-January and the end of February to get your code in good time, and avoid having to renew registration ahead of the start of the offer in April.
