Congratulations to Belgrave St. Bartholomew's Academy!

The academy has achieved Bio-Fly’s Eco-Warrior Award, recognising its fantastic work to improve biodiversity over the past year.

Using the National Education Nature Park mapping tool, pupils mapped habitats, installed bird boxes and bug hotels, and extended their allotment to provide food for pollinators. The academy has also encouraged more families to walk to the academy, taken part in the RSPB Big Bird Count and organised community litter picks.

These activities have brought the whole community together, helping wildlife, reducing emissions and encouraging healthier habits.

Well done to everyone at Belgrave St. Bartholomew’s Academy for this fantastic achievement! 🌍

Congratulations to Nantwich Primary Academy! 👏

We’re delighted to announce that Nantwich Primary Academy and Nursery is the latest recipient of a St. Bart’s Sustainability Champions Award, achieving Mr Carrot’s Food Hero Award! 🏆

The award recognises the academy’s ongoing commitment to healthy eating and reducing food waste, with pupils given opportunities to grow their own food, try new healthy options and think about the impact of the food they eat and throw away.

Their efforts are already making a difference, benefiting the whole academy community while helping to reduce the environmental impact of their food and associated carbon emissions.

A huge well done to everyone at Nantwich for the enthusiasm, hard work and commitment that has gone into achieving this award.

🌿🏆 Congratulations to Hazel Slade Primary Academy!

A few months ago, we launched the St. Bart’s Sustainability Champions Awards, celebrating the fantastic work taking place across our academies to save energy, reduce waste, protect wildlife and make healthier, greener choices.

The awards give each academy a series of challenges to work towards, with a sticker earned for each award they achieve. They are a way of recognising the collective effort of staff and children and the positive difference they are making.

We’re delighted to announce that Hazel Slade Academy has met all the criteria for Bio-Fly’s Biodiversity Award! 🦋

It’s wonderful to see the academy’s commitment to improving biodiversity and air quality in the school grounds and local area, as well as helping children develop a growing connection to nature.

A huge well done to everyone at Hazel Slade for the hard work, enthusiasm and care that has gone into achieving this award.🌍💚
