Today, we brought the beach to Oakhill. Cedar class had a fantastic time fishing for shells and sea creatures, building sandcastles, printing shells, taking part in a beach-themed treasure hunt, enjoying a water fight, eating ice cream and ice lollies, taking part in some beach themed activities, watching a Punch and Judy show and participating in parachute games with Mr Magician! A truly fantastic and memorable day for everyone! 🏖️🏰🪏🍦☀️

Reminder for tomorrow! Walk to school with the Active Frog! 🐸As previously, children remain the responsibility of parents/carers throughout.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the 'new to EYFS parents' meetings tonight have had to be postponed. We will be in touch with parents with new arrangements as soon as possible. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. All parents have been emailed about this too.

Reception Sports Day 2026 🏆 🏃 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️

Throughout the year, our Key Stage 2 children have ran many races in our ‘Oakhill Cross Country League’. 🏃🏼‍♂️

We have seen the children’s fitness, stamina and ability to run longer distances improve immensely, and today we celebrated the winners in each year group. 👏🏻

We also celebrated the girl and the boy who made the biggest improvements in their results across the entire Key Stage! 🤩

Although we couldn’t go on our trip today Silver Birch have had a fabulous treat day to make up for it! Including playing on the field in the shade first thing, making fans to keep cool, eating cool ice pops, visiting Mrs Hales’ Spa for a relaxation cool down session and having a cinema time!

We are planting beans in Reception. We hope they grow into beanstalks! 🌱
