An online writing workshop for all abilities. Led by Ashley Edge, we will be looking at ekphrastic writing. Put simply, ekphrastic means "descriptive", and when we talk about it in the literary sense, we tend to mean writing a piece that is a description of a scene, most commonly a work of art, or that has been influenced/inspired by the art work.

This is a workshop in which you will be prompted by different art/images each month. We will be wittering about the piece, the feelings and thoughts they evoke in us, getting inspired by them and then writing in whatever form your mind is urging you to.

This is a great place for those new to writing, as well the pro's, in equal measure. So what are you waiting for, grab yourself a ticket!

There will be a period of writing time and then those that wish to, will have the time to share what they have written. This is a positive workshop, we will be writing what springs to mind, not masterpieces. This workshop is to lift us, not squash us!
