It's our final day today at Youlearn as the funding runs out today. It's been a fantastic journey and we feel honoured to have been able to assist so many people on their learning journeys. So, from Vikki, Matt and Neil, thank you and goodnight!

Youlearn were happy today to donate some stationery to the charity Team Inspire which sends essential medical and educational material to countries ravaged by war and natural disasters. Inspire's Chairman, Mahbub Rahman (pictured receiving the materials) said "These educational materials will be distributed to schools in Syria and Somalia ravaged by conflict and poverty." Whilst donating the stationery, Youlearn Project Worker Matt Pointon commented, "As a trade union learning project, we are happy to help vulnerable children in developing countries to achieve educational success."

Yesterday marked the final class of our Globetrotting course at the Leek U3A. To celebrate their successful completion of the learning, class members enjoyed a small celebration and were each presented with a "Globetrotting Passport" containing stamps of all the countries that they have studied as a memento of the learning. Members of the German class which Youlearn have also helped facilitate were invited along too. All in all, it has been a fantastic year of partnership with the Leek U3A.

Youlearn were hosted again by ASHA on Friday. Matt and Neil led a Festival of Learning, with interactive ESOL sessions as well as IT and Life in the UK. Nearly 50 people attended and lunch was provided by service users, traditional Iraqi and Syrian food to mark Newroz (New Year).

We're proud to present some more photos of our work with the Stoke North Children's Centre which does some valuable work in empowering mothers and children from some of the most disadvantaged areas in Britain. Here we see our Project Workers presenting some of the centre's volunteers and local MP Ruth Smeeth with some learning materials for the centre.

To celebrate World Book Day, Youlearn have been to Stoke North Children's Centre promoting learning opportunities for volunteers and parents. Pictured here with local MP Ruth Smeeth, books and other learning materials will be shared among local parents using the centres in the area - a bit of something for the adults! Youlearn Project Workers, Neil Seepujak and Matt Pointon are back out there enjoying building further links between the union and the community.

Continuing with our fruitful relationship with the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, Youlearn today presented some educational materials to the Chamber which will be distributed to schoolchildren across Staffordshire.
