Stoke on Trent College - Sports Academy

Today, our Sports and Uniformed Services learners proudly represented our department at the college's Remembrance Service, joining together to pay heartfelt tribute to those who have lost their lives in conflict. Their participation reflects a deep respect and appreciation for the courage and sacrifice of service members throughout history. We’re incredibly proud of our learners for showing such dedication and maturity, honouring this important tradition and the values it represents.

Our Level 3, Year 2 Uniformed Services learners have been delving into the fascinating world of crime scene investigation as part of their current unit. Last week, they took part in an exciting simulated crime scene scenario, allowing them to apply their practical skills in a realistic setting. This hands-on experience enabled them to practise essential techniques, such as evidence collection, scene management, and analysis, providing a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of investigative procedures and enhance their readiness for real-world scenarios.

Last week, a group of our Sports students took charge of the Year 3 & 4 School Games Indoor Athletics Event, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that all participants had a fantastic time! 😁

The event coordinator shared their appreciation, commenting: "Thank you to Stoke on Trent College's Sports Leaders for their excellent officiating and support at the Year 3-4 Championships at Fenton. They truly made the day enjoyable for both children and staff alike. Without them, the event wouldn't have been possible!"
