Jack has been an incredible member of our team, and we’re so proud of everything he has achieved. His confidence has grown so much over the past few months, and it’s been wonderful to see him flourish in his role.

Jack is always happy to help wherever he’s needed, whether that’s supporting different rooms, getting involved in activities, or lending a hand to his colleagues. His positive attitude, willingness to learn new things, and dedication to developing his skills have not gone unnoticed.

🧱 Little Builders at Work! 🧱

Using their concentration, determination, and problem-solving skills, they carefully chose where each brick should go to build their tower. As it grew taller, they learnt about balance, size, and what happens when structures become unstable.

Activities like this support:
✨ Physical development by lifting and carrying the bricks.
✨ Hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills through careful placement.
✨ Mathematical thinking as children compare sizes, heights, and quantities.
✨ Critical thinking by experimenting with different ways to make their tower stand strong.

There were plenty of smiles, celebrations, and “I did it!” moments as the children proudly admired their creations. We love seeing their confidence grow through hands-on, open-ended play. 💙

🏎️ Ready, Steady… Go! 🏎️

Our children had so much fun taking turns sending the cars and balls down the ramp!

This simple activity encouraged the children to practise waiting patiently, taking turns, and sharing with their friends. With gentle encouragement from our practitioners, the children used simple words and gestures such as “my turn,” “your turn,” and “ready, steady, go!” helping to develop their communication and language skills.

As they played together, they were also building early friendships, learning to cooperate, and celebrating each other’s successes. Watching the children cheer one another on and enjoy the activity together was wonderful to see.

Through fun, everyday play experiences like these, our little learners are developing important social, communication, and physical skills that will support them as they continue to grow. 💙

✨ What’s the difference between our Baby Rooms? ✨

At our nursery, each of our Baby Rooms is carefully designed to meet the unique needs of each stage of your baby’s development.

👶 Baby Baby (0–15 months)
Our youngest babies enjoy a smaller, cosy, homely environment where they feel safe, secure, and nurtured. This calm space allows our team to build strong bonds with each child while supporting their early routines, sensory exploration, and first developmental milestones.

One example of our learning is using our low-level table to encourage babies to pull themselves up to standing. This helps to strengthen their leg muscles, build confidence, and support them as they prepare for those exciting first steps.

🌱 Older Baby baby (16–24 months)
As babies become more mobile and curious, they move into our larger Baby Room. With more space to explore, climb, discover, and play, we can tailor learning experiences to support their growing independence, confidence, communication, and physical development.

A recent activity in this room encouraged both imaginative play and physical development. The children used wooden spoons and balls to create their own mini golf game, developing their hand-eye coordination, balance, and problem-solving skills. We also encourage children to drink from open cups, helping to build their independence, coordination, and self-care skills.

By having two dedicated baby rooms, we can provide age-appropriate environments and activities, ensuring every child receives the best possible start and opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive at their own pace. 💙
