Residential Children’s Worker
📍 Location: Stoke-on-Trent
💷 Annual Salary: starting at £30,240 + up to £1200 per annum with bonus scheme
🕒 Shift Pattern: 3 days on / 3 days off 10am - 10pm

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate Residential Children’s Workers to join our team, supporting children and young people in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.

What you’ll do:
* Provide day-to-day care, support, and guidance to children and young people
* Promote positive routines, education, and independence
* Work closely with a professional team to ensure the highest standards of care
* Follow shift patterns of 3 days on / 3 days off starting at 10am, finishing at 10pm.

What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A caring, resilient, and reliable attitude
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
* Able to drive

We’re looking for a compassionate, experienced Counsellor to join our children’s residential homes—someone who can offer understanding, consistency, and a safe space for young people who have experienced trauma and disruption.

This role is about more than sessions and notes.
It’s about building trust with a young person who’s learned not to trust.
It’s about helping them feel heard, valued, and safe—sometimes for the first time.
It’s also about supporting the adults around them—because strong, supported staff create better outcomes for young people.

🌱 In this role, you will:
• Provide 1:1 therapeutic support to young people in care
• Deliver therapeutic group work
• Lead and embed a trauma-informed, nurturing environment
• Provide therapeutic supervision and reflective support to staff teams
• Help staff better understand and respond to complex behaviours
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals
• Be part of a team that truly cares

• A Diploma (or higher) in Counselling/Psychotherapy
• BACP (or equivalent) registration
